Jaspreet Bindra - Regional Director – Entertainment & Devices Division - Microsoft Corporation (India) Pvt. Ltd.

     

 

Jaspreet Bindra spearheads Microsoft Entertainment & Devices Division in India. He is responsible for strategy, operations and the marketing and sales efforts for Microsoft’s Hardware products (primarily input devices i.e. mice and keyboards); Gaming (Xbox 360 and games) and Home Productivity software (Windows/ Student Home Office) sales at retail.

Prior to this role, Jaspreet was the Country Manager for Microsoft India’s Online Services Group. His responsibilities included business development, sales and marketing with a focus on growing the popularity of MSN India & Windows Live services; bringing new advertisers online and exploring business opportunities in the booming mobile market.

Some of his success included, leading India specific consumer initiatives such as regional language services on MSN, personalized email (www.coolhotmail.com), mobile search agreements with mobile operators in India.

Jaspreet has served as the Vice Chairman of the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) for the year 2007.

 


Jaspreet began his career with the Tata Group. He was inducted under the prestigious Tata Administrative Services (TAS), and held senior sales, marketing and general business management positions in the telecom, internet and consumer companies within the group. From the Tata’s he moved on to be a part of the founding team for Baazee.com – now known as eBay India as the Chief Operating Officer.
