Simon Ong is the Group Managing Director and co-founder of Kingsmen, a leading communication design & production group with 18 offices in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Its fields of activity concentrate on retail & corporate interiors, exhibitions & events, museums & thematic and alternative marketing.

Besides providing strategic directions for the Group’s growth, Simon is also responsible for the creative directions and the planning and implementation of group operations. He has more than 35 years experience in communication design and has led his creative team to win many prestigious awards such as President Design Awards, SRA Best Retail Concept Awards, Annual Outdoor Advertising Awards, SFIC Interior Builders Awards & the Promising Brand Awards in Singapore, and ARE Retail Design Awards & RDI Store Design Competition in USA.

Simon is actively involved in the creative industry where he once served as President of the Interior Designers Association (1995-1997) and an active member of the Advisory Committee of Temasek Polytechnic, School of Design in 1998-2007. Presently, he is Chairman of the Design Development Committee of the Singapore Furniture Industry Council as well as Chairman of the Creative Sector, Design Industry (Design, MSTC) of the Workforce Development Agency of Singapore. Simon is also a board member of A.R.E (Association of Retail Environment) of USA, being the first representative from Asia to the US-based association of retail environments.

Simon holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Australia and a Master of Design from the University of New South Wales.
